 Operations:

The 12th District Court adjudicates all criminal misdemeanors and handles the preliminary examinations for felony matters. General civil actions that do not exceed $25,000, small claims cases, and landlord-tenant disputes are also handled by the District Court. The majority of Jackson County’s traffic violations are resolved by the District Court as well.
