Grand Ledge, Michigan
Grand Ledge is a city divided into both Eaton and Clinton Counties. The city is most known, and named for, it's 300- million-year-old sandstone and quartzite rock ledges that are 60 feet above the Grand River. Many rock climbers from all around use them for recreational rock climbing. Indians who lived in the area near the ledges were of the Pottawatomi, Chippewa and Ottawa ancestry. With a population of under 8,000, Grand Ledge boasts a large school district comprised of communities of Delta Mills, Mulliken, Wacousta, and Eagle. The total population of the district is 31,000.
